Today is the day when every Indian, near or far from the mother country, feels proud to belong to this holy land. India is a place where great men and women were born, giving this nation a unique identity on the world map. Many regard this country as a civilization of enlightened and spiritual humans. For centuries, India has been an interesting observation for countries around the globe. On this occasion, I proudly present my healthy veggie and fruit platter that would remind the Indian national flag.

I can go on and on glorifying my motherland, but today I am not here for that. Today I have a straightforward message for every Indian. That is, it’s a blessing to live in a land yielding some of the best nutritious crops in the world. Our water sources, that many of us worship, are rich and fertile. Let’s take care of them wholeheartedly and avoid their degradation in every possible way.

Serving tri-color veggie and fruit platter for patriotic gatherings:

  • Serve raw carrots and cucumbers in this beautiful Tri-color pattern to celebrate India’s Independence Day.
  • For Chakra in the center, I have used Blueberries.
  • On the side, I have filled glasses with grapes and peaches chopped in cubes giving another Tricolor effect.
  • You can enjoy these fresh veggies and fruits as it is or along with Hummus or any choice of dip.

30% of the Indian population is vegetarian, and that is a lot. Today we need vegetarianism more than ever. Many predicaments related to health and climate change can be solved by only eating a more plant-based diet. We are a great nation. However, we can continue to be a great nation if we are physically and mentally fit to efficiently run its economy. To encourage everyone to eat healthily, I am sharing my idea of this veggie and fruit platter. It is colorful and nutritious. Eating raw fruits and veggies is extremely beneficial for overall health. Globally, Indian food is famous for its diverseness and wholesomeness. People everywhere fancy Indian food because it’s wholly enticing. However, it is infamous for being heavy and greasy, which makes it unfit for many who are diligent about wellness. But I would like them to know, that we can make Indian food easily healthful. If cooked with caution, then Indian food comprises of one of the most balancing meals.
